the disease of design
The Internet is great for self-diagnosis. Here's a dead-on
description of how designers like me see the world, and why walking down the street can cause me heart palpitations.

thinking positively
The holidays have been a bit stressful for me (for reasons I don't wish to disclose right here), and being a natural pessimist, I need an attitude adjustment every once in awhile. (I'm sure my husband would say I need one a little more frequently, lol.) So I'm taking a page out of many a therapist's book, and writing down positive things... here are 6, in honor of my new jersey number.
- I love the fact that I went Christmas shopping in sandals and a short-sleeved shirt.
- I love discovering my chinchilla curled up asleep in his hammock
- I love that my husband will totally surprise me every year at Christmas, and spoil me with stuff I'd never buy myself
- I love the rush I get after a good workout
- I love eating raw cookie dough more than the finished cookies themselves
- I love LaDainian Tomlinson, Brian Dawkins, Lance Briggs and every other fantasy player who rewarded me w/ a big payday to catapult me into the championship game
